Coolaz Koozies Goes Pretty In Pink To Support Breastcancer.org

Coolaz Steps Up To Help The Fight Against Breast Cancer

Francesca’s Fancy Flops organized PINK ROSES, a fundraising event for breastcancer.org.  Over 100 guests, mostly ladies, gathered at Vintage Lounge, a trendy, upscale club in Chicago’s Italian neighborhood, for an evening of cocktails and little bites in the spirit of raising awareness and funds to help the fight against breast cancer.

Coolaz Koozies was selected as the koozie supplier and they designed the artwork for the PINK ROSES-themed koozie. Coolaz Koozies were chosen for their high-quality and intricate printing as well as their ability to fit both bottles and cans. Francesca’s Fancy Flops was so please with the artwork, they decided to use it to wrap their large chocolate bars too! Francesca’s PINK ROSES Facebook event page cover photo looks awfully familiar as well! Coolaz provided their standard point-of-sale stands allowing the koozies to be attractively displayed next to the bar.

The fundraising efforts were quite successful and we give praise to Francesca’s Fancy Flops for her tireless efforts in coordinating the event, securing wonderful raffle prizes and VIP guests. The entire presentation looked quite fancy. I guess we shouldn’t be surprised, ‘Fancy’ is her middle name!

Darren Tillett, Coolaz Creative Director, was excited to see the final design his team created. “As a design company, we take pride in our ability to generate compelling artwork.” said Darren. “We understand the quality of our designs is directly correlated to the amount of money our fundraising partners are able generate. People want to give to charitable causes, but they do tend to give more when receiving something of quality.” remarked Tillett. Francesca’s Fancy Flops was extremely pleased with how it all came together, commenting “Everyone loved the red carpet, delicious food, top of the line drinks, decorations, photo booth and of course the koozies!! They were a huge it!”

Chicago Scene Magazine was on site to take a bunch of great snaps. Check out the PINK ROSES Pinterest boards.

Coolaz Supplies Some Juice to The Slice of Lime Foundation

Coolaz Koozies Keepin’ Things Cool at Southern California Golf Outing

It was a beautiful day for golf as 88 golfers grabbed their sticks and headed out to Moorpark Country Club for the 3rd annual Rock and Roll Charity Golf Tournament to support Slice of Lime Foundation. In early 2010, Dave Sobel was diagnosed with a rare form of an aggressive lymphoma. Dave courageously battled the disease with chemotherapy and stem cell transplant yet eventually succumbed on December 26, 2010. The Foundation was created by Dave’s daughter Lauren to raise awareness and funds to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

‘Slice of Lime’ was chosen for the foundation’s namesake in part because lime is color of the awareness ribbon for lymphoma and also a reminder of Dave’s desire to retire in his own ‘Margaritaville’ with a slice of lime in his drink.

The $150 entry fee went towards 18-holes of golf on one southern California’s finest courses and all of the food, drink and assortment of goodies as a token of the foundations appreciation for their compassion and contribution to The Slice of Lime Foundation. Coolaz Koozies was privileged to supply the drink koozies to keep the beverages cold throughout the day.

Since this Rock-and-Roll golf tournament was inspired by Dave’s love of classic rock and golf, Coolaz incorporated The Slice of Lime Foundation logo into the koozie artwork to capture the spirit of the event and take away a great memento that will keep the of Slice of Lime mission on their minds while they enjoy cool beverages at home. Coolaz Koozies’ wrap-style offered an extra benefit of fitting a wide variety of bottles and cans ensuring a perfect fit no matter what drinks are being served.

Moorpark Country Club boast 27-holes of championship caliber golf designed by PGA Tour professional and Golf Channel commentator, Peter Jacobsen. Nestled in a picturesque valley created by the Arroyo Simi River, each of the three 9-hole courses present a challenging test of golf while stimulating the senses with views of the surrounding canyons and glimpses of the channel islands off the Ventura County coast.

The Slice of Lime Foundation was seeking fun, quality gifts for each golfer’s ‘Goodie Bag’ for their generous donation to the foundation. Coolaz Koozies was asked to design a koozie that would capture the essence of this Rock-&-Roll charity golf tournament. Slice of Lime’s Silent Auction Chairman, Lori Jackson, commented, “Your [Coolaz] Koozies were a huge hit. We received so many compliments on them and so thrilled to see your koozies being used all around the golf course. The golfers loved them.”

“Our entire design staff focuses their creative energies into making customers’ special events special.” said Coolaz Creative Director, Darren Tillett. “We are quite please the golf tournament attendees enjoyed our Coolaz Koozies and honored that The Slice of Lime Foundation selected Coolaz for their event.”

Dave’s daughter Lauren added “Our hope is to change what a diagnosis of lymphoma would mean to a person and their family. What is possible today was just a theory yesterday…you are part of that change.” The event raised $6,500 which should enable The Foundation to earmark the donation to the specific type rare blood cancer that took Dave Sobel.
